ASG Winter Social

The Winter Social is the perfect place for members to meet. Members are the heart of ASG, and each month our chapter welcomes new members. Let’s take some time to connect with fellow chapter members—both new and long-term—and share our love of sewing. Learn about our varied neighborhood groups and meet some of the Chapter Board Members.

We also have an exciting program planned for the day! Please bring a pair of scissors and 3-4 pieces of woven fabric (about the size of a fat- quarter) to share for the appliqué project. All other materials will be provided.

Tea and refreshments will be served.
The event is free.

Three Shifts Available Each Day

Help promote our ASG chapter and our fabulous fabric sale at the Quilt, Craft & Sewing Festival (aka Rusty Barn). This event showcases sewing-related vendors and is a fun place to publicize ASG and the fabric sale.

It’s easy! …just be at our booth and share your love of sewing. We’ll have fabric sale post cards to hand out. Volunteers work in pairs, so it’s a great chance to meet another member or work alongside a friend. Entrance and parking are free for volunteers. Before and after your shift, take advantage of some of the interesting mini workshops offered.

We need 2 people per shift so grab a member-friend and join in or come on your own and meet somebody new.

Sewing at Lake Tahoe

Starts May 18, 2025 5 pm 
Ends May 23, 2025 11 am

Come enjoy a week of sewing at the Zephyr Point Conference Center in Lake Tahoe. Experience the pleasures of collaborating with other sewists while viewing Lake Tahoe at its finest. Sewing stations, meals, and sleeping accommodations are provided. Bring your sewing projects, your sewing machine, and your inspirations for a fun week of no cooking, no cleaning, no time limits, and no obligations. Simply enjoy good old-fashioned sewing FUN.
